We Are Saving Nemo

We are Saving Nemo, a 100% vegan business specialising in wedding catering.

Founded in 2021 with our little green van, we began serving our plant-based take on fish and chips to the people of Northamptonshire. In 2022, we moved to the North East, where the business is now proudly based.

Jess, the founder, is a trained chef and brings her love of cooking to create bespoke and seasonal menus. She graduated from Bettina’s Retreat Academy and now uses this knowledge to use wholefoods in unique ways to make Vegan food exciting. In her spare time she rescues seals across the North East. 

Today, Saving Nemo has grown beyond street food. Alongside festivals and markets, we cater for plant-based weddings, private events and offer a private chef service for intimate dinners and special celebrations. Whether you’re planning a wedding feast, a party or a bespoke dining experience at home, we bring bold flavours, thoughtful menus and a stress-free service.

You can still find us on the road at selected events or you can hire us for weddings, private events and private chef experiences.

Saving Nemo has travelled across the UK from local events in the North East to caves in Cornwall, festivals in Wales and Vegan Camp Out.

So far we have achieved:

  • Featured on TV twice – Steph’s Packed Lunch and Sunday Brunch
  • Winner of the National Outdoor Exhibition Association’s Caterer of the Year 2023
  • Top 16 at the British Street Food Awards
  • Launched our very own sauce range (sadly we’ve stopped doing this now)
  • Cooked for celebrities and football players including Rosemary Shrager and Corey Taylor
  • Graduated from Bettina’s Retreat Chef Academy 2024
  • Cooked at Vegan Camp Out
